Since update TB keeps crashing at random times

I can read emails. Send some but then it will crash. I downloaded the latest version and installed that but problem persists.

128.4.4 64 Bit Windows 10

Hi, I'm using TB 128.4.3esr (64-Bit) with win 10. Some filters are not able to move mails to a specific folder; Taskmanager shows a thunderbird thread, indicating that particular folder, thread is consuming little CPU. Any idea how to fix this? Georg

Hi, sometimes filters can't move mails to the given folder. Taskmanager shows a thunderbird thread, naming that particular folder. Details show a "waiting for IO" mesage. Taskmanager shows that threat consumes (little) CPU. Any idea whats going wrong? Georg

Incoming email works but emails sent are not received.

SMTP settings seem to be correct compared to working desktop client.

I am using TB 128.4.3esr on Ubuntu 24.04 and mostly love it: thanks. However, I'm hitting a really irritating if erratic issue: TB often autofills an old address matching the first few letters I type for my addressee. It happens just rarely enough for me not to remember to check the autofill every time I start to address a new Email so I only get to know about it when the Email bounces, but it happens just often enough to be a real pain. I am 100% certain that it's not down to anything I am doing (the addressbook name and both the correct and incorrect addresses share the first say five letters and the autofill kicks in after about two I think). It happens for To: and Cc: fields, I don't know about Bcc: probably because I use bcc very rarely.

I have only noticed it happening with two different addressees (oddly my wife's and my daughter's) and I am pretty sure that of the fair number of old addresses for both of them it's only ever one of those that TB chooses. One byproduct (I assume as I think I had deleted these before) is that the dead address is added to the address book of sent addresses and that may be perpetuating the issue.

Please could we be able to select that TB only prompts with a preferred address for each addressbook entry or have a way to mark old addresses as dead. (I need to keep them to make it easier to find addresses that came from people at their old addresses.) I hope I haven't missed some option or setting that already does this.

While I was looking at a sent message it disappeared. I got a message that is was being ignored. When I pressed a box with "Make it appear again" is disappeared totally.

I created a saved search on Thunderbird (POP, mac M1) to get all messages not older that 5 days. The result is aberrant: only a few messages are found and not the right ones.

I tried deleting and recreating the smart folder, with no success. I also tried to compact folders. No improvement.

Hello. After having fixed the connection to Outlook a month or so ago, things have gone wrong again with Outlook connection. I now cannot send or receive any emails on Thunderbird. When I try, I get the message saying that Outlook's certificate has been rejected (I think). I tried clicking on "Get Certificate", but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions, please? Thanks!

The global search in TB is completely defective. I am now running 128.2.0esr and hoped that update might fix it. It hasn't. I just wonder, are there any older or non ESR versions I can downgrade/move to, where the search is fully functional?

I can never find emails that I need to refer to. It is now driving me insane because I can no longer find it due to threads... which do not always thread where you think they will. You wrongly assume we remember to change the headline when we respond to a conversation about one topic and mention another. I'm desperate.

Nachdem ich mein gmx-postfach aufgerufen hatte, tauchen plötzlich bei Thunderbird mails auf,die völlig veraltet sind, aber unter heutigem Datum und Uhrzeit geführt werden.!! Ich wurde heute sogar von einem Absender angerufen, dass ich einen Termin angefragt hätte, den ich aber längst wahrgenommen habe!! Wie kann das sein?? Seltsamerweise tauchen diese "fake-mails " auch im gmx-postfach auf. Ich bin sowieso schon lange verwundert, warum der von mir schon lange gekündigte Vertrag mit 1&1 (gmx) es möglich macht, dass ich bei dort noch immer ein Postfach habe (die alte email-Adresse >>holback@gmx.de<< verwende ich zwar noch).

Hi from very long time I have to add manually the accounts password at every start of Thunderbird. Now I'm at the version 128.4.4esr (64 bit) but the problem is still here.

Ok we can do copy and paste every morning but it will be great if there is a way to fix it.

I've had an outlook account on Thunderbird for years but I now have an issue with sending mail . Incoming mail is OK. I just get incorrect password message. I know password is good as I have reset it online (microsoft 365 account0 and have logged in OK to outlook mail online . I also have the account working OK on iPhone. I'm sort of at my wits end here. Have tried different SMTP server settings. Any help would be appreciated Reade H iMac running 12.6.2 Monterey
